Abstract

Aim: To observe the LVRT effect on wind turbine during LLLG fault in 50km line. Methodology: This paper gives the idea about grid connected wind energy conversion system. Here work has been done at rated wind speed of 12m/s of 800kW Wind turbine and fault analysis has been done, fictitious LLLG which is most serious (serve) fault in power system analysis and effect of LVRT has been observed on inverter voltage that is main consideration of this paper. Low Voltage Ride Through abbreviated as LVRT is the capability of wind turbine to restore the original value of the voltage after the clearance of fault. This phenomenon can be found in modern variable speed wind turbine. Entire work can be done on 800kW wind turbine connected with 50km line. First entire system has been simulated under healthy condition then work has been extended to LVRT (Low Voltage Ride Through) concept under LLLG fault conditions. Entire simulation has been done in PSIM ® 6.0.
