Abstract

In the current paper, we have proposed a class of modified exponential estimators for the population mean under double sampling plan. Its bias and mean square error are studied. It has been compared empirically with some well known competitive estimators. Using ten different populations available in the literature. It has been observed that the proposed estimator performs better than all these estimators as evidenced by its higher PRE (Percent relative Efficiency).
