Abstract

A simple stripline based microstrip rectangular patch antenna is designed and analyzed in the frequency range of 5GHz. It covers applications including WLAN and WiMAX. A rectangular patch of dimensions 12.5mm x26.50mm x 0.02mm has been proposed with an easy to design and fabricate stripline feed. The bandwidth of antenna is found to be 210MHz. The proposed antenna provides good return loss S11 and impedance behavior. The plots for far field radiation pattern, Impedance pattern and gain have been obtained.
